Proud Association of the Capital District Pop Warner of New York

Saratoga Springs Pop Warner Cheerleading

Saratoga Pop Warner provides the opportunity for children ages 3-15 to participate in our cheerleading program. Our cheerleaders learn lifelong skills such as commitment, teamwork, dedication and responsibility all while learning the sport of cheerleading. Each child will develop characteristics that will help them grow and advance not only through our cheer program but also in life.

Practice begins the week of August 1. Each team’s practice schedule has been determined and will be posted at Practices for TM, MM, JPW and PW will be held at East Side Rec. Monday- Thursday 6-8 pm until Labor Day. After Labor Day practice will reduce to 3 times per week 6-7:30 (scheduled days will be released later). Practice for Jr TM will be 1 day per week for 2 hrs for 8 weeks.

All teams will perform at the Capital District Cheerleading Competition in October. Our competitive squads (Pee Wee, Jr. Peewee, Mighty Mite and Tiny Mite) may earn the opportunity to complete at additional competitions (located in New York, New Jersey and Florida). The team calendars will be updated with practice time and competition times as the squad’s advance.  All cheerleaders are expected to participate in competition. Competitions are not optional.

Junior Tiny Mites (Age 3-4) will only participate in Capital District Cheerleading Competition as exhibition only.

All Cheerleaders are expected to participate in all fundraising events. These events will be listed on the calendar and coaches will remind families at practices.
